Description
A projection-mapped, multiplayer educational game designed to teach children aged 5-8 about climate change through physical interaction, teamwork, and spatial storytelling.
Context
For our capstone project at Berkeley’s Master of Information Management Systems, I led a team of four designers to develop a concept game called Loop. This game raises awareness by engaging children in conversations about environmental topics and wildlife.
I developed the design system, illustrated the game characters, and contributed to prototyping the physical interface, using projection mapping to create an immersive experience in a spatial environment.
Impact
Translated complex environmental data into a cooperative, tactile learning experience accessible to middle school students.
Explored innovative methods of combining illustration, spatial design, and interactive media to promote learning through embodied play.
Won the prize of Honorable Mention at the 2023 San Francisco Design Week.
